1. All of our choreography is created right here in our studio! Our artistic director, Jill Taylor, personally crafts all of our choreography for each full-length ballet and Nutcracker productions. Other works are beautifully designed by our talented faculty members.
2. Small Classes – We strive to have no more than 8 – 12 students per class so every child receives quality instruction and individual attention.
3. Taylor Academy of Dance is Adjudicated by North Carolina School of the Arts. We are the only dance studio in Wake Forest to hold this prestigious honor.
4. Taylor Academy of Dance is a non-competition school. Your tuition pays for dance training focusing on technique!
5. Our beautiful studio features soaring cathedral ceilings and professionally done Marley flooring, specifically designed to help protect dancers from injury while they train.
6. Taylor Academy offers the complete performance experience – Our Year-End Demonstration allows your child to showcase the dancing they learned in class during the year. We perform the show twice, once at 2PM and once at 6PM so everyone has a chance to see it.
7. We also offer Full Length Productions (such as Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and the Wizard of Oz.) Your child receives the experience of dancing in a full-length ballet showcasing their dancing, performing and artistic capabilities!
8. Our dancers have danced or studied over the summer with Carolina Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, North Carolina School of the Arts, and have received traineeships with Signature Ballet Ensemble and the Joffrey Ballet School.
9. Our yearly recital is held close to home at Rolesville High School—just minutes away for an easy, stress-free experience! Plus, it’s a one-day event, so families can enjoy the performance without the hassle of buying multiple tickets for multiple days.
10. Taylor Academy of Dance now has dancers performing with UNCSA, Joffrey Ballet School, Mercyhurst University, Western Kentucky University, East Carolina University, and Elevate.

These top ten are no joke. Taylor Academy is like a safe haven for friends, a great working environment and a great place to succeed with support from all your peers, parents, and teachers. Every oppurtunity that comes by Miss. Jill will take it and use it as a teaching tool or life experience. Taking class at Taylor Academy not only teaches true technique but you also learn life lessons that you take with you into the real world. I couldn’t count up all the times I have been able to get myself through a tricky situation because advice that came from Miss. Jill, Miss. Roberta, and other dancers at the studio because there are to many. It is a great feeling to have somewhere you can go when everything goes wrong and have the best time ever. Highly recommend!! (plus its tons of fun to see new faces!)
