The Jill M. Taylor Dance Company is a 501C-3 non-profit organization whose goal is to spread appreciation of the arts in North Carolina by providing public performance opportunities to talented dancers of all ages and to offer the community the opportunity to enjoy classical ballet at a reasonable cost. Nutcracker Auditions are open to everyone in the public.
We are the only traditional, full-length production of the Nutcracker offered in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
Auditions for Jill M. Taylor Dance Company’s Nutcracker will be held on Saturday, September 9th at Taylor Academy of Dance. Please wear a black leotard, pink tights and ballet shoes to the audition.
Auditions will be held by age level. *(Please attend the Audition based on the age your child will be the day of the audition, not on how old they will be turning after September 9th). Below are the times for each age group:
12:00 – 1:00: 3 – 5 years old (Registration begins at 11:30 AM)
1:00 – 2:00: 6 – 7 years old (Registration begins at 12:30 PM)
2:00 – 3:00: 8 – 9 years old (Registration begins at 1:30 PM)
3:00 – 4:00: 10 – 11 years old (Registration begins at 2:30 PM)
4:00 – 5:00: 12 and Up (Registration begins at 3:30 PM)
*If you are 12 years or older and have pointe shoes please bring them. We may ask to see some of your pointe work.
Acting Only, Adult Audition at 5:00 PM
Nutcracker Audition Fees:
If you Pre-Register before September 9th the Audition Fee is $25 per
