Taylor Academy of Dance; New York City Trip
Our trip to New York City was nothing short of incredible! The plan was simple—spend three unforgettable days with my Senior Company dancers exploring the city, shopping, sightseeing, catching a Broadway show, navigating the subway, hailing taxis, and most importantly, dancing at the iconic STEPS on Broadway.
Let’s start with the heart of it all: the dancing. STEPS remains a timeless treasure. Though updated in some areas, it still holds that classic charm—with its worn wooden floors and barres lining the lobby, it’s a space where dancers of all ages, from tiny beginners to seasoned professionals, come to train.
One of my proudest moments? Watching our dancers take a professional-level class led by New York City Ballet principals Maria Kowroski and Amar Ramasar. And even prouder? Seeing them hold their own, dancing side by side with professionals in one of the most respected studios in the world.
