TAYLOR ACADEMY OF DANCE
Taylor Academy of Dance is a non-competition dance studio located in Wake Forest, North Carolina that has been preparing and teaching the love of dance for over 20 years!
The school’s mission is to create technically proficient and beautiful dancers who possess the skill to develop into future artists. Through the discipline of dance, we also shape the character of each student by teaching respect, responsibility, promptness, hard work, courage, forgiveness, generosity and courtesy to others. We share the love of dance with each and every dancer that comes through our studio doors!
The importance of dance technique is emphasized in every class and without it a dancer cannot improve and develop. Our dancers continue their dance education by learning the artistry of dance through performance. Every student is provided many performance opportunities in not only dance recitals, but in full length dance productions. Examples of some of our past productions include Cinderella, Phantom of the Opera; The Ballet, Coppelia, The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland, just to name a few.
Taylor Academy of Dance has been adjudicated by North Carolina School of the Arts and we are proud to say that we received this prestigious honor on our very first attempt.
Taylor Academy of Dance offers a diverse program for all students, age 2 ½ to adult, in ballet, pointe, variations, partnering, jazz, tap, contemporary and pre-ballet. Whether you are studying for the sheer joy of dance or wish to become a professional, Taylor Academy of Dance is the studio for you. Taylor Academy of Dance gives individual attention, correction and help to each dancer, unlike the mega studios that focus on only the top few dancers in the class. I’ve also been very impressed with the quality and organization regarding the classes, productions and recitals. It’s clear the students are absorbing what is being taught and are a pleasure to watch perform. Because Ms. Jill breaks down each dance step into “doable” smaller parts, even the beginner dancers thrive. She also makes class fun and genuinely cares about each child.
